Left Hong Kong this morning, boarded the Cotai Water Jet for a 1 hour ride to Macau. We should have taken the TurboJet instead because we stayed in Macau, Cotai Water Jet docks in Taipa. We boarded this ferry because it leaves 1 hour earlier than TurboJet. I forgot that Cotai Water Jet goes on a different route, bad decision on my part. Now we have to travel from Taipa to Macau that added more to time and expense.
So we arrived in Taipa, took a bus to Macau. The bus' last stop was still far from our hotel. To save money, Otep and the two seniors took a taxi with our luggage, me and Herbert tried to walk to our hotel. Upon asking a local for directions, he said that it is too far to walk specially in hot weather so we took a taxi. Because our hotel's name is Hotel Holiday, drivers thought it's Holiday Inn. No luck with taxis, we looked for a bus that passes near the ruins because our hotel is just near it. So we did and finally arrived in the hotel. We wasted a lot of time. We checked in at 6PM and we should be in Studio City by 7:30PM for the Golden Reel.
So it's crunch time. Took a taxi from hotel to Studio City in Cotai, it's far but the traffic was good. We were there in 10 minutes. But upon arriving, as we get off the taxi, Herbert's phone fell under the seat. What a time for it to happen. They spent a few more minutes looking for it. Finally got it, we ran as fast as we could as the gate was about to close. We made it, just in time for the last admission.
Golden Reel. World's highest figure 8 Ferris Wheel with Steampunk-themed cabins. Situated 130 meters up in the building for breathtaking views of the island.
There's a lot to do in Studio City but that's it for now. Before going back to the hotel, we walked along the Cotai strip and took some pictures, it's a line of opulent hotels and casinos.

Our last day in Macau and of our trip. Not much for today. We spent the whole afternoon in one area, where the ruins and shops are. We checked out our rooms but left our luggage in the hotel while we walk around.
The iconic church ruins of Macau. Located on top of a hill beside a fortress and lots of markets around. Very crowded during our stay. This is my third visit but years in between. As you walk downward to Senado Square, you'll find plenty of shops offering free tastes of their products specially the jerkies. Try them all you'll end up a full stomach. Your lunch is covered.

Back in Macau, while walking to our hotel, we spotted the only open store in the area. We realized that we haven't had dinner yet. It's already late and they were about to close but they let us get some. They serve hot soup, not my preferred food in kind of hot weather but they're yummy. Check out our dinner here.

Had our late breakfast here. Just beside our hotel.

The place is famous for their jerkies, pork buns and egg tarts. So I bought and tried as much variety of it as I can, some were free. The shops were along R. de Sao Paulo.
Tried my first pork bun and egg tart here.
And another one from here.
Another egg tart from here.
Tried this taho with red beans from here.
I was alone doing my food adventure. My company stayed in one place because the weather was too hot to walk around. I met them up afterwards, went back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and off to the airport. To save money, we looked for a hotel that has a shuttle to the ariport. We learned that Hotel Lisboa has, which is almost 2 kilometers from our hotel. So we walked with our luggage until we reached the hotel only to find out that we missed the last trip. Good thing that the bus stop to the airport is just in front of Hotel Lisboa. Off we go.
And that concludes our trip. Herbert went back to Hong Kong and met his girlfriend. They stayed there for a week and did the same itinerary as us.
