Canyon Cove Trip

6 things we did in our Canyon Cove trip
July 26-27, 2014
  1. Lunch at Leslie's in Tagaytay
  2. Swim at the beach
  3. Swim in the pool
  4. Dine at Max's Restaurant
  5. Unwind in our room
  6. Lunch at Antonio's Grill in Tagaytay

Trip Notes
  • The resort is in Nasugbu, Batangas, 3 to 4 hours away from Metro Manila.
  • Prepare some cash for toll fees for using South Luzon Express Way (SLEX).
  • Our room cost P5,800 a night.
  • No other dining in the resort other than Max's and the price is higher than usual.
  • You can't bring food and drinks inside.
  • Check out the resort site here.
  • Municipal town is 5 minutes away.

July 26

We meet up with my brother and his family at Leslie's in Tagaytay and to also have our lunch there.  Check out what we had here.  They came from Lucena and we came from Manila and we are about halfway now to Canyon Cove.  This is just our quick weekend getaway, no special occasion.

After about an hour we reached Canyon Cove.  We arrived around 3 in the afternoon, checked in and rest for a bit.  We took the superior room located at the first floor with 2 twin beds and a day bed, air conditioner, tv, chair and desk, fridge, closet, toilet, bathroom and veranda.

  • The room is spacious with ample amenities.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation is good.
  • The place is pretty big so choose a room closer to the beach or pool.

And of course, the kids can't wait to hit the beach so we went out and let them play in the sand and water.  We don't feel swimming today because the weather is gloomy and with a bit of rain so we just watched the kids until they are exhausted.

  • The beach is average, not as white and powdery as Boracay's but pretty clean and maintained.

When the kids were finished playing at the beach we head back to our room to wash them up and have our dinner at the resort restaurant.  It is catered by Max's Fried Chicken but their prices are higher than their regular branches.

After the dinner they went back to the room to rest while me and my brother went to the parking lot and spend some time together at the back of our Avanza.  He drinks his beer, I drink my Coke while munching some pistachios.  After about an hour we call it the night and head back to our room to rest.

July 27

Re-energized, woke up on a beautiful Sunday morning.  Everyone is excited to go out and swim.  A dip at the beach, a dip at the pool, took pictures around the resort and a bonding moment while munching on pistachios.

  • Pools are clean and cottages are far enough convenience.

And we're done, time to pack it up and head home.  We enjoyed our stay here.

Before going home, we went to Tagaytay again for our lunch at Antonio's Grill.  Check out what we had here.
